Over the years  I have taught  classes in the field of Adoption. I have made a presentation to the "Life Care Project" (a statewide conference of "Caring to Love Ministries"-- a crisis pregnancy management service).  I have received a commendation from the Ministry for my service.

I work in close cooperation with several of the "Crisis Pregnancy Centers" throughout the State of Louisiana.

Not only have I handled adoptions for my own potential Adoptive Parent clients but I have been hired by other attorneys to assist their clients with unique or complicated issues that have arisen in their adoption process. I have also been hired by a number of Adoption Agencies over the years to assist with their adoptions.

I have been involved in more than 1,000  successful adoptions.

I have handled adoptions in at least 12 different parishes in the State of Louisiana.

I have worked with either Adopting Parents or Birth Mothers from at least 10 different States (and several different Countries).

I have worked with (and been consulted by) the District Attorney  for the Parish of East Baton Rouge, State of Louisiana, and the FBI regarding various legal aspects of adoption.

I have been qualified as an expert witness in the general field of adoption law and practice in the 19th Judicial District Court for the Parish of East Baton Rouge, State of Louisiana.

I work with small business owners as they try to help make life better for their families. There are many facets to this work: Protecting the assets you have worked so hard to gather for you and your family; minimizing  tax liability (I work in conjunction with a few different CPA's for this); understanding and working with the machinations  of how the government wants to get involved (I have a number of different professionals I work in conjunction with for this); helping to address the inevitable legal problems when they come; and generally how to keep things going in the right direction legally.

I work with families when someone in the family has died and the family wants to keep together all that has been earned for so many years.

Please know that helping solve all manner of family issues is what makes me tick. If I can't help you, I probably know those who can.

If you want to have an honest, frank conversation, call me. I will answer your questions to the best of my ability. If you don't like the answers, don't hire me.

I look forward to using my gained knowledge to serve you.

Graduated  from LSU in 1978 (Bachelor of Arts in Political Science)

Worked with disabled and handicapped young adults through the State of Louisiana  before attending the Paul M. Hebert Law School (at LSU)

Graduated from Law School in 1983.

By 1985 began a primary focus of practice in the general fields of family law and adoption law. This has evolved into a family practice with a focus on adoptions. Since then I have started working on small family business issues and successions. All of this is an outgrowth of working with families to help them with family issues.  This has been the general focus of my practice for approximately the past 30 years.
